ZED-Next
A downloadable Emulator
What is ZED-Next?
ZED-Next emulates the Sinclair and Amstrad ZX Spectrum family, two Russian Spectrum clones, the ZX Spectrum Next, and the Sinclair ZX80 and ZX81. Each machine emulates cycle by cycle from the real hardware's timing, so games, demos, and loaders behave as they did on the original computers.
ZED-Next is controlled through full-screen menus, using the keyboard, mouse, or a game controller. Tapes, disks, snapshots and SD cards are chosen in ZED-Next's own file browser, which also works in fullscreen.
ZED-Next is made for Linux. A Windows version of ZED-Next is also available

any chance of a mac build?
Currently, I don't have a Mac, but if I can get hold of one, I will sort it out.
I'm curious ;)
I'm currently working on a demo for a demoparty in Poland, and it doesn't work well on almost any emulator ;)
If you can send me the demo and maybe even a video of how it should look, maybe I can get it to run on this emulator.
Try ZED-Next first and let me know.
